Students from IUB visits SQ Group on Study tour

A group of 25 students led by their teacher Mr. Monzoor Morshed from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) visited the state-of-the-art manufacturing units of SQ Group on July 23, 2016. This Study tour was part of their curriculum to learn about the company and the industry as a whole. SQ Group’s top management also put a lot of emphasis on the tour as this represented an opportunity to introduce the bright young minds with the latest developments of the RMG sector.

The student team received a warm welcome after they arrived at the SQ Station, the industrial park of SQ Group located at Valuka, Mymensingh. The team was then taken through the industry overview, SQ Group’s company overview, the remarkable achievements in the field of Environmental sustainability, and the people focused Human Resource (HR) practices that the company follows.

Afterwards the student team was taken to a tour of the manufacturing units in SQ Station; the SQ Birichina Ltd., SQ Celcius Ltd. (Unit 2), SQ ColBlanc Ltd., and SQ Hues Ltd. During this time, the enthusiastic young students got into continuous discussions with the experts who accompanied them throughout the tour. After the tour of SQ Station, the team went to SQ Celcius Ltd. (Unit 1) located in Maona.

They received an insightful tour of the facilities and had engaged in further discussions with the experts of SQ Group. At the end of the tour, the SQ team shared their good wishes with the students and encouraged them to get further involved with this industry; the industry which is the highest contributor to Bangladesh’s economy.

SQ understands the importance of informing and involving the bright young minds with its business operations. It is needed to ensure the continuity of the growth. It is needed to achieve remarkable breakthroughs in the upcoming days.
